Savannah Guthrie enjoyed a meaningful weekend away from her New York City home, traveling with her husband, Michael Feldman, to Arlington, Texas.
The TODAY Show anchor, typically seen in Studio 1A at Rockefeller Center alongside Craig Melvin, took the trip to serve as the emcee for the grand opening of the Medal of Honor Museum.
A Night to Remember
Savannah shared glimpses of the event on social media, including a red carpet moment with her husband. Dressed in a striking red gown adorned with rose appliqués, she stood beside Michael, who sported a sleek satin suit.
“A spectacular, heart-lifting evening celebrating the opening of the Medal of Honor Museum in [Arlington],” she captioned her post. “So honored to emcee, meet so many heroes, and cheer on @cjonescowboys for this incredible feat. Oh, and witness the most extraordinary drone and fireworks show I’ve ever seen.”
She also posted videos of the museum’s breathtaking light display, with fans commenting: “Very nice! Looks really incredible,” and “What an evening of a great celebration of a worthy cause and great music along with it.”
Back to the Early Morning Routine
Savannah is expected to return to TODAY on Monday morning, joining her children, Vale and Charley, at home. Known for her intense schedule, she previously revealed in an interview with Refinery29 that her mornings often start as early as 3 or 4 AM.
“I wake up, depending on what’s on the show, between 3 and 4 in the morning,” she shared. “I do my homework, the preparation I have for the show, in the morning. The other morning we had Hillary Clinton on for her first live interview, and I think I woke up at 3 AM with a stack of research.”
By 5 AM, she’s picked up from home, arriving at 30 Rock by 5:30 AM to prepare for the show’s live broadcast at 6:30 AM.
Craig Melvin, her TODAY co-anchor, follows a similar schedule. He described his morning routine to Westport Magazine, explaining: “I’m up at 3:45 AM. The night before, I lay out my outfit for the car—jeans and a hoodie—so that from the moment my alarm goes off, I can be in the car within 22 minutes.”
With a quick turnaround from a star-studded weekend to her early morning grind, Savannah continues to balance her professional and personal life seamlessly.
