Jeremy Boreing, co-founder of the conservative media outlet Daily Wire, announced on Tuesday that he is stepping down as co-CEO. Moving forward, he will focus on creative projects within the company while continuing in an advisory role.
Axios first reported the news, and Boreing confirmed the transition in an email to staff. He will also remain a host of Daily Wire Backstage, the monthly show where he discusses political and social issues alongside Ben Shapiro, Matt Walsh, Andrew Klavan, and Michael Knowles.
“A new chapter,” Boreing posted on X, sharing Axios’ report.
Leadership Transition
Caleb Robinson, who has shared the CEO position with Boreing since 2019, will now take over as the sole chief executive. Robinson previously led the company as its lone CEO from its founding in 2015 until 2019.
Boreing’s Legacy at Daily Wire
Boreing and Shapiro co-founded Daily Wire in 2015, growing it into one of the most influential conservative media companies. In 2023, Boreing stated that the company was on track to reach $200 million in annual revenue and had been valued at over $1 billion.
In a 2020 interview with TheWrap, Boreing credited the company’s success to its openly right-wing stance, rejecting the notion of objective reporting.
“We own our biases,” he said. “We are a conservative news organization. We’re not hiding it. We don’t pretend otherwise.”
Beyond its popular podcasts and YouTube shows, Daily Wire has expanded into streaming with Daily Wire+, launched in 2022. The platform features content such as Mr. Birchum, an animated series starring Adam Carolla, with voice contributions from Megyn Kelly, Jay Mohr, Alonzo Bodden, and Roseanne Barr
